Are you vegan?: No, and we say so. Three balms are made with tallow, and the range also includes honey, goat's milk, snail secretion filtrate and a salmon-derived molecule. Each product states its origin plainly on the page.
Do you test on animals?: No. We do not test our formulas or ingredients on animals, and we do not sell in markets that would require it.
Why do you name every ingredient?: Because a short, fully-named list is the whole point of the house. Nothing here hides behind a proprietary blend. Every product carries its full INCI list, in order.
How does the sixty-night return work?: Use anything we make for up to sixty nights. If it is not for you, we refund the full price and you keep the jar. There is nothing to send back.
What is the difference between Izvor and Vatra?: Izvor is the spring—the natural half of the house: rendered fat, pressed oil, beeswax, honey and soap. Vatra is the hearth—the worked, potent formulas: serums, tonics and creams, measured and named.
Which should I use first?: Thinnest to richest, and never stack strong actives on the same night. The order of things sets it out step by step.
Do you ship outside Canada?: Not yet. Canada for now, with a French storefront and wider shipping on the way. Write to us and we will send word when we reach you.
